This publication is an experiment. My one commitment at this point is that all the posts will be about music. I'm not entirely sure about the Atmosphere concept and its privacy implications, so I'll keep the posts here on the safe side. The areas that interest me are an unusual mix, and I might write about any of them. Follow me if it sounds interesting. Things I might cover include:
Filk music. That's the folk music of science fiction fandom. I've written a lot of filk songs, made a few Bandcamp albums, and written Tomorrow's Songs Today, a history of filk.
Classical music. My favorite composers include Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Spohr, and Mendelssohn.
Silent film accompaniment. I accompany silent films at my local library, improvising music on the keyboard.
My home isn't far from Boston, and I may write about concerts, conventions, and other musical events in New England.
